Every Sunday during the month of March we will be collecting donations of children's underwear to be given to children at The Salvation Army Center of Hope Family Residence. The Center of Hope is the ONLY Family Emergency Homeless residence in Forsyth County, housing single mothers, single fathers, married parents, and single women. On any given day, over 50 children 12 and under call the Center of Hope home. One of the greatest needs they face is very simple, underwear. From infant diapers to boys and girls underwear, the need is ongoing. Donation boxes will be located in the foyer of the Worship Center for you to leave NEW, unopened packages of diapers or "undies" for the children. Basic hygiene items will also be accepted as they are always badly needed. Toothpaste and brushes, soap, shampoo, lotion, and other everyday items that we take for granted become a blessing for the children at the Center of Hope. Please help these children. When you do, your gift is more than just clean "undies,” it is a gift of hope!
Join us as we assist our friends at the Enrichment Center by: Helping vendors unload their vehicles and get items to their assigned tables; Working a shift at the craft table; Helping vendors tear down tables and load vehicles at the end of the day. This is a family friendly event and is open to people of all ages.
